Well, here we are the moment of truth. We are finally launching this site. The goal behind this site is to help bands communicate with their fans and allow the fans to actually feel like they are part of the show, that their voice really matters. Let's be honest, without the fans you don't have a show so why not try and give them what they want? That being said, if the band doesn't play everything in the proposed set or, heck, doesn't play anything from their requests (which is possible) it's their choice. After all, it is their band.
If you are a band and would like to sign up, just click the register button above and it will walk you through it. If you have a bug or a suggestion please use the bug reporter to let us know.
As you can see, yes, we do have ads on this site. Heck, we need to try to make some money on it as well as a sliver of the album sales if you buy something through iTunes. What makes this site different though is that you will see a 720x90 footer ad feed by Google Adsense. For all of you bands out there, this is your chance to be compensated for your hard work and marketing on this site. We figure that since you bring the eyeballs to the site we should try to give something back to you. Therefore, we have set it up so that once you log into your account you can paste your Google Ad Client ID into the Google Adsense section of your site and whamo! You are now the one that makes the money (if it generates any) from Google directly. If you don't have an account, the section will walk you through it.
It's pretty easy to add tour dates: just follow along. Zip codes are needed so that we can notify kids in those surrounding cities about your show. You can easily add updated news to your page as well. Once you have entered your dates you will need to go back and click on the SETLIST button for each date and choose what songs you are willing to play. Toggle all makes it easier but you might not want to play every song you have ever recorded.
Your fans come to the page. In the right column they can pick the show that they are going to and then they just pickURset. Pretty simple concept.
This is a work in progress. Heck, we are still at Alpha, not even Beta. If there are problems please forgive us. We will work on it.
