Bio: About AILAIR
As I Lay Awake In Ruin (AILAIR) is an American rock band, formed late 2007 in Hartford, Connecticut "...introducing punk, with a slight flare for the hard post modern alternative sound, with an acoustic mainstream tease , that is indie influenced and touches on elements of experimental to the preening pretentiousness of rock", most notably due to their influential debut effort "As I Lay Awake In Ruin (2007)". They have gained appreciation and critical praise for a complex and ever-evolving sound that ranges from "melody enriched riffs " to "indie punk rock with a flair to the masses". Not one particular genre eludes them as they strive to include every musical element they possess into their sound.

Since December 2007 the band consisted of Jagger (Guitar/Keyboards/Lead Vocals), Jonathan (Guitar), Stephen (Keyboards/Guitar/Vocals), Jared (Bass/Back Vocals) and Fay (Drums). They have release one full length, their self titled debut in 2007, and will release their second full length "Emotional Dynamite" in December of 2008, which will more of a Pop Punk, Electronical style.

Look for AILAIR this summer via The Fuse Network and on MTVU for their debut video and also hear them on your favorite radio station for the release of three of their singles. They will embark on a North East tour in September through November and then starting on January 2009 they will be headlining their own tour of North America.
