This easily had to be the greatest show of my life. Blink 182 is my favorite band and these guys are my heros. They put out so much effort and energy, it was impossible for anyone, even parents, to not get into it. The fact that they did this, even after the tragic death of their friend Adam Goldstein, says something to how dedicated they are to their fans and their music. Not only was Blink 182 amazing, but Weezer and Taking Back Sunday had killer shows also, which made this night so special. This line-up was more then I could ask for as a fan. I was however, very disappointed in Chester French. They're really bad.
The show..... was the best thing I have ever been to in my life. I got there at 2:30 and waited in line. I was the first person to get the limited edition shirt! When the concert finally came around, Chester French was meh, but nobody was even there for them anyway. Taking Back Sunday and Weezer were both awesome, could have been their own concerts. Then after the curtain dropped and Blink started playing the crowd was so fucking rowdy I've never seen anything like it before. Don't listen to anything about Tom being whiny, he is fine. The music is great, the environment is great. I don't know if I will ever go to a show that awesome again in my life. And for them to play that well after just having lost a friend, I can't even imagine what it's like.
To shorten it up: THE SHOW WAS FUCKING AWESOME
This was the GREATEST night of my life... It was bit sad at some parts.. and i feel terrible about the loss of Adam Goldstein, but they still played their hearts out, and put on an amazing show no matter how hard it was for them.. that has to be one of the most difficult things to do in life, and they pulled it off.. GREAT SHOW MARK, TOM, and TRAVIS!!!
Travis, Mark and Tom did an amazing job under the awful circumstances. Performing in front of 30,000 people a day after a close friend passes is a true testament. My heart ached for them as they broke into tears on stage. It felt good to be there for them. The intensely positive vibe the audience gave to them really let them know they were not alone and deeply cared for. It will go down as one of the greatest shows of all time in my book.
