What can I say? They were absolutely awesome. I saw them earlier in the week in Manchester which was a great gig but it was nothing compared to the second night at Wembley. You could just feel the energy when John Paul Jones and Jimmy Page walked on stage for the encore and you could understand why Dave Grohl called it the greatest day of his life. The Foo's were on top form all night but when Page and Jones came on they took it up another gear. You could tell that Dave & Taylor were soooooo excited about playing with Page & Jones, they just couldn't contain themselves at the end. What a brilliant night (except they didn't play DOA but I'll let them off with that one). Supergrass were good as the main support but not a patch on The Manic Street Preachers in Manchester.
What can one say?
The show was absolutly awesome. Dave´s voice started cracking and that is usually a sign of a great show, since he´s giving his all and best :)
I loved that I finally got to hear some accoustic stuff (since we never got an accoustic concert in Germany *damnit*) and that I also finally got to hear "Big Me" *yay* AWESOME!!! And nobody started throwing "Mentos" on stage - so thank God for that ;)
If only I would get to hear "AURORA" live at least once *lol* Maybe next time...
The audience was a little slow at times, not rocking out enough in my opinion, but like I said, the Band ruled.
They started with "Let it die" wich at first I thought was weird, cause usually they start with one of the Faster-Smash-Hits, but the people loved it and "rocked along". I personally love that song, so not only was I proven wrong, but also pretty happy with it.
They brought the "foot-bridge"-thing too, and I really hoped that Dave would sing a Song on it, for us people standing right by it and the people way in the back, but that didnt happen. He did walk on it from time to time though and the fans (girls) got crazy around us everytime he did. Wish the other guys would do the same - but sadly, they never set foot on it.
Let me get to the end here:
Not the best Foo-gig I´ve attended, but one of the Top 5 (in Germany). IT WAS AWESOME !!!
BTW: Flogging Molly supported and did a great job. Really good live-band. If you´ve never seen them - go do so when you get the chance. I´m not so much into the Irish-music-thing, but they are so good...
TWO WORDS: TRIANGLE SOLO!
THIS CONCERT WAS SOOOO AWESOMELY RADD!
AGAINST ME!, SERJ N FOO FIGHTERS!
THEY WERE ALL GREAT :D
FOO FIGHTERS R TOTALLY RADD @ ACOUSTIC TOO!
I ALMOST CRIED WHEN THEY PLAYED EVERLONG DUDE!!!
AWESOME♥
BEST CONCERT OF MY LIFE... SO FAR :D
Even having one of the worst seats I've ever had at a show couldn't take away from how great the Foo Fighters are. Playing a great mix of old songs and singles, along with a small acoustic set on a stage on the other side of the venue made for a great performance.
