Bio: Idle Vice is a rock band from Long Island, New York. Their musical ideology consists of post-punk garage rock with a callous yet unforgettably pop vocal style. The sonic rush of their two independently released EPs: Intoxication and Refreshment (2007) and "A Way You'll Never Be..." (2006) combined with their live shows have brought them to garner a large fan base in the Long Island region. Since forming in the summer of 2005, Idle Vice has developed their own distinguished rock n roll sound with their influences ranging from such bands as The Ramones and Led Zeppelin to Weezer and The Movielife. Their sound is a mix of new garage grunge with a bit of the Kinks. says Kathy Fleischmann of Aural Fix Magazine. Charisma, style, attitude, and rock & roll ethic, Idle Vice has it all going on. Good heavens, is this music original! wrote Syl Nathan of Good Times Magazine. Idle Vice is not just another Long Island band that plays the same clubs and bars weekend after weekend, month after month. They have gone as far as taking the initiative to book, promote and finance two tours all on their own. In the summer of 2006, Idle Vice spent over two weeks touring the east coast. In the fall of 2007, they took it one step further and spend three months touring around the entire United States to promote their second EP Intoxication and Refreshment subsequently selling close to 1,200 copies in just the first 3 months after its release on August 12th 2007. The band plans to spend the winter months of 2007/2008 writing new material and recording demos for a future release, as well as playing shows around Long Island, New York City and the Tri-State area. However, keep an eye out on their myspace page because this is a band with a lot of perseverance and enthusiasm and they may just pack up on an impulse and take a road trip to your town.
