One of the greatest ever, the only problem was sound at the beginning of the show, but who cares they thrashed the hell out of everyone there!
and i managed to get one of dave's picks
hoping to see you back here soon
Best show ever. I was satisfied with the setlist and the performance. I hope they come back soon with new material and the old too!!!
Man, these concert sucked a lot! The band in a horrible shape (except for James Lomenzo, the only guy who kicked some major asses in that night), a really really STUPID setlist (ressurected Sweating Bullets instead to play Mechanix? Come on...), with some despicable tracks being played (Skin O'My Teeth, Kick The Chair, A Tout Le Monde, She-Wolf and Sweating Bullets), some underrated classics once more not played (Devil's Island, Liar, Mechanix and maybe something more rare or never played alive like Good Mourning/Black Friday, The Skull Beneath The Skin, Killing Is My Business... And Business Is Good!, Five Magics, Mary Jane, 99 Ways To Die, Blood Of Heroes, etc.). The 3 songs played from United Abominations sucked alive, except for Washington Is Next!, and the best moment was on the track Take No Prisoners. About the members: that Nevermore-boy Chris Broderick could be better, and put more energy. Mustaine made better before in São Paulo, that was not the case of that night, and I don't know why Shawn Drover still in that band - he's a toxic waste on the band, Mustaine got to be joking with us to keep he in the band.
MEGADETH RULES!!!
A review of the Gigantour 2 DVD has been posted in the 'Heavy Metal Addiction' section at wordpress.com: "Audio and visual are professionally well done, the band?s are all in top form, and the performances are brutal, headbanging, and amazing. Some of the bands on the tour I was only a casual fan of (Arch Enemy, Opeth, Lamb Of God) but now I will pay a lot more attention to them. Into Eternity and Overkill were already bands I enjoyed but seeing a bit of live stuff has me looking forward to their next tours. Megadeth never disappoints?..I?ve seen them live many times and they always put in a solid show. If you want to see some different bands, some heavy bands, some bands that are huge in the Metal scene then go pick up Gigantour 2 DVD." MORE
Dave Mustaine has posted an update on the Megadeth Forums: "Thus starts the tremendous work of rebuilding the band and earning back our credibility. James Macdonough was in the band long enough to participate in the widely acclaimed ?That One Night? Live DVD from one of my favorite spots in the world; Buenos Aires, Argentina. This DVD shows what Megadeth is in a nutshell. ...Once James and Megs parted ways, I was really excited about James Lomenzo or ?JLo? as he likes to be called." MORE
Jonathan Cohen for Billboard.com reports: "Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine will appear July 10 at the Guitar Center in Hollywood, Calif., for an interview as part of the retailer's Sessions series. Megadeth fans know that Dave Mustaine has an opinion about pretty much everything. When he stopped by the Sirius Radio's Hard Attack studios, he didn't disappoint.
