This was the fourth time I have seen Slipknot live & the 2nd time i have seen Disturbed. Compared to the past, this show was just not up to par.
Corey referenced during the show the other times in the past 10 years slipknot has performed in Dallas, & the irony is that their performance this time could not even compare to in the past. If you don't believe me, go out and buy their live DVD Disaster Pieces & tell me you got the same caliber of show seen on the DVD.

Disturbed was absolutely awful. The only thing I could think of watching them on the big screen was "going through the motions"
It was just another day at the office to the lead singer- completely emotionless.

For all those young rock fans out there, its unfortunate that your first exposure to these great bands is a lackluster one. I guess, for me at least, the quality heavy rock music & showmanship that I grew up on is truly dead. Both the Rockstar Mayhem Fest & Ozzfest line-ups this year prove it.

I was fortunate enough to go to Ozzfest 2001- arguably the best rock line-up of all time. ( & ya slipknot was amazing at that show)

This was the 6th time i've seen Slipknot and the first for the rest of the bands. I was Very impressed with the bands i got to seee, i really hated the fact that the bands overlapped each other. As for my first Live show of Disturbed, I really enjoyed it, I was Highly UNimpressed with the Song Selection of Slipknot,(They didn't even play wait and bleed or spit it out). Aside from the heat, fire ants, $4 bottles of water, and random assholes trying to sell me the exact same shirt i was wearing, I had a bitchin' time. Hopefully next time i see the 'Knot, it will be a better show.

Awsome show! I wish we could have seem more from Slipknot and Disturbed. Disturbed didn't do Ten Thousand fists and Slipknot didn't do Wait and Bleed. 5FDP was awsome, but they didn't do Never Enough. Over all it was a awsome show and we will go back to next year's Mayhem Festival. Maybe the show could be later in the fall or earlier in the summer because of the heat.

I agree with the above comments as far as pick a better time of year to play instead of the dead heat of summer. All the bands were awesome especially Machine Head!!!! They are always crowd pleasers!!! Slipknot and Disturbed were good. My first for the knot and second time to see Disturbed...The overlapping bands and 800 dollar food and drink did suck and song selection wasnt up to par....but over all i feel i got my moneys worth

the red chord was fucking brutal suicide silence was also brutal as fuck and i really enjoyed underoath and machine head and 36 crazyfists.

mastodon was the reason i bought tickets and they did not disappoint...with only a 45 minute set they managed to play an amazing setlist (wish they would have played blood and thunder or a new song) disturbed was pretty lame...slipknot was fun and dragonforce was a bit of a letdown...didnt watch black tide or airbourne or five finger death punch because i had better things to do than get pummeled by doodoo...but overall i'd say this tour was fucking awesome...better than ozzfest and not as scene as sounds of the underground...great fucking tour

5FDP, Kicked ASS!!! Should have been on main stage.Disturbed was great! And I've never heard Slipknot, WOW what a show!!!!Too DAMN HOT and im too OLD! Reminder to self. Had a GREAT time.

Fantastic!!! DragonForce melted faces, they were SPECTACULAR (They were the only reason I came). Wasn't pleased with the million-dollar foods and drinks though, especially the "Souvenir Cup". It should be Rockstar Energy Mayhem, or something to do with it, not an ad for a stupid hillbilly show. Freakin' hot though. Maybe earlier in the summer would be better.
