Over all this concert was nothing short of amazing! Slipknot was the best band by far! Their show was everything i could have wanted and more. All i can really say is wow, this concert rocked! cant wait for next years Mayhem Fest!!!

Well we got there and the lines were longggggggggggggg. I collect drumsticks from famous drummers all over the world so I was in contact with Ryan O'Keeffe or AIRBOURNE, and Dave Mackintosh of Dragonforce. I got to meet Airbourne after their set, get Ryan's drumsticks and got pics with the band and they signed my cd. Mastadon was just ok. Dragonforce were pretty intence and awesome. Disturbed put on a good show as well. And if course Slipnot put on the best show by far, but they were headliners so they should have. The Show was the best show ive been to and i have been to alot alot of concerts. I love Slipknot and this was the first show i actually was able to go to!.. We got in and there were people everywhere! lol I didnt want to stand in line to get a shirt and i should have cause after the show they had None hardly!.. Dissapointed in 5FDP.. they hardly played and his voice wasnt very good live at all.. After they got off stage.. I was on the side of the jager stage.. AND who do i see with a hat on and no shirt?!.. COREY FUCKIN TAYLOR!.. Nobody fuckin recognized him but me that was standing there! I said COREY! and he like totally was like wha? and looked around then he seen me wavin and he waved back and then he got on his golf cart and then i said Corey again and gave him the horns and He did it right back to me! IT was fuckin amazing! I couldnt ask for a better start to the concert.. We watched Walls of Jericho and they were good. shes crazy.. then walked around and went to see Dragon force.. they put on a good show the Guitarist Ruled! BUT didnt like the fact they were callin fans cunts.. so not really a fan of them.. Disturbed Was amazing!.. his voice angelic!.. sounds exactly like the cd's Wow.. they were right up there with Sk.. Slipknot was every thing i wished for and more. being in the 3rd row. was just wow!.. over all I loved it and I cant wait for next fuckin year!.. Hope u all had a SIC time!..

Soil [Smallest, most intense pit I've ever been in]

Five Finger Death Punch ["White Knuckles" pit and first time crowd surfing for "The Bleeding". Utterly raw]

Walls of Jericho [Second biggest circle pit I've been in compared to Hatebreed at The Rave. Sick voice]

UnderOath [Breathtaking]

Machine Head [Could hardly see them, but they sounded awesome]

Disturbed [Amazing. They were so good live. Preeetty much broke my neck headbanging. HUGE pit]

Slipknot [Did break my neck headbanging to "(Sic)". =P Sid did amazing for having two broken heels. Great aesthetics on the stage. Awesome pit for "People=Shit"]

This Concert, was the best concert, or event, or anything i've seen live ever!!!!!!!!!! There is a reason why this event is called the MAYHEM FESTIVAL!!!!!!!! ITS JUST THAT!!!!!!! and ive decicided to describe it in 7 words, UNRELENTING, INDESTRUCTABLE, BONANZA OF A LIFETIME!!!!!!!!!!!

DISTURBED was PHENOMINAL as usual. David Draiman is definately the greatest showman. Dragonforce is sooooo incredibly talented! It was really cool that the lead singer came out into the crowd. ...and SlipKnot...Great too!
But for me it was all about DISTURBED!!!!! Love you David!

DISTURBED!!!! sucked (just my opinion) but they are very boring live there not much action amongst them and david clearly is an ego maniac slipknot was bad ass short set but thats expected there just gettin there feet back under them theyll be back in a few months with a 2 hr plus set HIGHLIGHT OF THE DAY MACHINE FUCKING HEAD those guys never disappoint and has by far the rowdiest crown there ive seen them 19 times and ive never seen robert flynn speechless like that fucking amazing skipped dragonforce cause they blow my ass and mastadon cause machinehead is better

Totally off the chain! No words. Besides probably the greatest show I have ever seen. The order was dead on too. Start off with mastodon, who performed rather well, but wasnt really a crowd pleaser, and the sound guy didnt quite have the balance right, seeing as their guitars were way too loud. Secondly, dragonforce. I personally did not expect much from this band as I had heard that they were not very pleasing live. But contrary to what I had imagined, they actually did very well. Some of their actions were repetitive, but it was an impressive performance. I must say, they did get the crowd started. So the concert is halfway done and im out getting some refreshments, finally I head back expecting the show to begin. The lights dim...and out wheels Draiman on a Lecter Psych suit with straight jacket and all. I honestly wasnt prepared for how amazing disturbed was... I was putting all the awesomeness on slipknot, not disturbed. But honestly when disturbed played The Game, I was sold. And their final song...Down with the sickness...that was flat out insane. And then SlipKnots turn came...Starting right away with the pyrotechnics and crazy head banging and mashing...well it was an unexplainable situation that must be seen to be believed. I knew I made the right choice with The Mayhem Fest, and I was certainly not disappointed. Quick recap. Mastodon put you in the car...Dragonforce drove you past the dead end...Disturbed drove you off the cliff...and SlipKnot crashed your car, rolled you 20 times, and lit you on fire, all in the best way possible.

This show kicked ass! Disturbed was damn near perfect I couldn't have asked for more. Slipknot's set was awesome but too damned short! They blew my mind with the rotating drum kit. Overall one hell of a good show!

Slipknot tore up the stage!!! I left soo fucking exhausted! And drunk! Would have been better if the bitches and pigs didn't stop selling beer at 8:00!!!! Disturbed once again kicked my ass, and Machine Head... well I will definitely see them anytime they are around. Fuckin Brutal!

This show was sooo sick. My first time ever seeing Slipknot and let me just say that it was fucking amazing to say the least. Five Finger Death Punch and Machine head were phenomenal too...can't wait til they all come back.

The show was so great. I couldn't believe it. Starting with 36 Crazyfists to Suicide Silence. Then can't forget about Machine Head. Their crowd was so big you couldn't even see the stage. Then Disturbed. Watching David Draiman come out looking like Hanibal Lecter and shit was so cool. They played a great show. (well they always do) Then Slipknot, watching Sid being wheeled out in a wheel chair was awesome. It just goes to show how much passion these artists have for their music. It's what keeps me listening. But over all the entire show was fucking great couldn't ask for anything better!!!!!

What can I say about Mayhem, it was truly amazing. My only complaint was that I didn't Get to see all the bands. I think that in the future start earlier so that eveyone can see all the bands. I liked that the Hot Topic and Jager stage were right next to each other. This was the first time i have ever seen most of the bands there and they were all great. However Disturbed and Slipknot stole the show. I just wish they both could have played longer. All in all the best concert ever for me. Thanks to all those that made this awesome concert happen, and thanks to all that made it kick ass!

That place was fucking PACKED! A sea of heads where the second stages were set up. Frankly I was a bit disappointed that they didn't have them set at opposite ends of the venue. I didn't catch any of the side stage shows as I wasn't loosing my old man in the middle of that shit. I am sorry tho, I would have really loved to have caught Black Tide just out of pure curiousity because they are all babies. lol I also wanted to catch Walls of Jericho which never happened. As far as main stage goes... I was less than impressed with Mastadon which was surprising because I had seen them before and they were pretty good then. Dragonforce wasn't bad, their music kinda reminds me of Man O War which I think is pretty good. Their stage show leaves a bit to be desired but the intent was definatly there. ZP running through the audience really woke up the crowd! Disturbed fucking ROCKED! Missed them last time around due to a family illenss and I have to say they were definatly WORTH the wait! I would so jump on tickets to see them again, any day! I knew when "Indestructable" came out that this was going to fucking be the shit and it WAS! Slipknot, I tried for a second time around. The sound sucked when we caught them in Rockford two and a half years ago. I blamed it on the venue. Can't do that this time. While the stage show was nothing less than incredible, they really need to tone down the music a bit so Corey can be heard better. Don't get me wrong, SNOT rules! However, the sound quality isn't there for the vocals because he is so drowned out by the insturmentals. I am most definatly looking forward to picking up their new CD later this month. Their music is nothing less than intense and they are definatly worth more than their weight in gold. All in all... I got a shirt from Crue Fest that says "Crue Fest... Fuck the Rest" and while Crue Fest was pretty fucking good, they should have had shirts that siad "Mayhem Fest... Fuck the Rest!" Mayhem Fest was sic and if you miss it, well... it sucks to be you! ;)

Other than the fact that I almost died standing at front rail for ~Five Finger Death Punch~ The rest was an awesome experience. I send out only the best wishes for the man in security who pulled me out of that mess! I and several of my family are totally bruised & hurt! We totally loved Disturbed & Slipknot was awesome as hell... but dint last very long.

MAYHEM FEST was just that, PURE FUCKIN MAYHEM !!!

That whole day was awesome! except for the fact that Walls of jericho switched times with Five Finger death punch, because of that i missed most of 5FDP's set oh well. Machine Head, Disturbed and Slipknot fuckin KILLED!

i can wait till next year !!!

So I went to the Mayhem Fest and this is what I thought:

Soil: awesome show. I saw them here in South Bend, IN with a crowd of maybe 20 people so to see them tear up a huge crowd like that was amazing. I also got to hang out with the guys at their merchandise tent and they were so fucking happy to be there.

The Red Chord: sucked. I saw them at Ozzfest a couple years back and they had a good show but they sucked this year. Very disapointed.

36 Crazyfists: blow. I didn't expect them to do a good show so no surprise.

Airbourne: wrong concert. They need to build a time machine and go back to the 80's and open for Ratt. They were like Kiss with no make-up, shitty stage performance, and no talent.

Suicide Silence: good. First time getting to see them and I think they made a name for themselves. They had a lot of energy and you could tell that they enjoyed what they were doing.

Five Finger Death Punch: taking back control with their knuckles! brutal fucking pit. lot of energy and just complete craziness.

Black Tide: gay. gay, gay, gay. fucking sucked. I think Blink 182 is looking for an opener.

Walls of Jericho: sweet. The last time I saw them at Ozzfest they sucked. It seems like they've evolved and matured as a band though and they put on a damn good show.

Underoath: emo/screamo/scene kids jumping around...something like that?: they should have never been at this concert, let alone headlining a stage. Figures they would be on the Hot Topic stage though.

Machine Fucking Head: awesome. just as I expected plus more. The crowd continuously chanting "Machine Fucking Head" explains it all. The pit was awesome and the way they fueled the crowd was great. Even better than last time I saw them.

Mastodon: idunno. I was upset I didn't get to see them at all being that they started to play during Machine Head. There was no way I was gonna miss that Machine Head show. Sorry Mastodon.

Dragonforce: ok. I caught the last song of their set (Through Fire and Flames) and they were doing good. I don't know about the rest of their set though.

Disturbed: Amazing. Just like the other two times I've seen them, they blew everyone away. They just killed it, the end.

SLIPKNOT: BRUTAL, AMAZING, (SIC)!: I can't even put into words how great the show was. I got into the lawn pit a couple of times, namely for People=Shit. My jaw and shoulder are both still sore but no one really kicked my ass but the Knot. Sid crawling around the stage with two broken feet, Joey's drum set getting lifted, Shawn humping his keg, Chris jacking off his nose, James and Mick's riffs, Craig's insanity, Paul's fast ass fingers on that bass, and Corey's brutal energy just could not be matched. This is only the second time I've seen them but they put on a show you could never forget. "The East Coast and the West Coast can suck my dick. The Midwest is where it's at!"-Corey Taylor. JUST FUCKING AMAZING!

So, I have a horrible sun burn, I can't get my shoulder or my jaw to stop hurting, my neck is stiff as fuck from head banging, and I couldn't be happier. If it wasn't for Fiver Finger Death Punch, Machine Head, and Disturbed that concert would have sucked but if it wasn't for SLIPKNOT I would have wanted my money back. MAGGOT FOR LIFE!

My own personal experienced was marred by ALOT of things, one was getting lost, since im from iowa. It took twice as much to get there, the venue and the hotel i stayed at. the guy that came with me did SHIT for directions. the reason why we got lost that day and the next.

and the F'n VIP that i got included, was bullshit due to the fact that NOBODY from that venue didnt even know where it was *found out it was in the far back there by the Hot Topic booth*, and due to that, I lost out on seeing alot of the 2nd stage bands

From what I saw tho,

Machinehead, parts of WOJ and Black Tide *yeah ill say it. most of them are cute and thought they were good wish they were legal lol*, 5 Finger Death Punch, got their auto along with Blacktide, missed out on Dragonforce and Mastodon, Disturbed *the sole reason I went to this* fucking rocked the house. anyone else who says differently, FUCK YOU. how can you NOT deny that crowd that was in the palm of David's hands? just a bunch of haters who dont know any better. I was never a big fan of Slipknot but this was my first time seeing them as well. They brought the shit to the table. I left 3 songs from the end tho to get out of the parking lot *which didnt work out well anyway* but i was impressed with what i saw so I can also tell people I've seen them live.

Without that bullshit VIP experience *or lackthereof*, great show nonetheless.

overall it was very good. im just so surprised hoe loud Slipknot was. i missed Walls Of Jericho due to the fact i was tweakin on Rockstars. Dj Starscream was amazing i was right on the fence watching him.Cant wait to see another Knot concert but this time i want GOOD seats

I had alot of fun but I regret that I came to the show at about 5 pm. I saw Underoath before I went and saw Dragonforce, Disturbed, and Slipknot. I'm a HUGE fan of Slipknot.
Now, I am a fan of Dragonforce but I don't really like how they sound live. Disturbed definitely got me pumped up for Slipknot. Slipknot wasn't even on yet and I was going insane. Once Slipknot was on I was headbanging my fuckin' head off! I just couldn't get enough. My neck was sore as hell for 3 days straight. Slipknot puts on a hell of a show but they could've played more songs. They didn't even play Wait and Bleed or Pulse of the maggots!! But they did play Sic which made me happy! ^^
I had such a good time at mayhem, I hope I can go again next year!! MAGGOT FOR LIFE

excellent show! Walls of Jericho- bad ass pits. switching times for walls of jericho and 5fdp sucked. airborne, soil, disturbed, and slipknot had great stage performaces. mastadon and walls of jericho overlapped each other which was retarded. same with machinehead and dragonforce. had to miss one or the other or try to catch a little bit of both. i wanted to enjoy watching them seperately. hopefully they won't do that again. otherwise, can't wait for next year!
