Warped Tour was a lot of fun this year. I really think they need to find a way to get more people into the place before bands start playing though. Open the doors earlier. I missed Pierce the Veil because of this. My only other complaint is that they had Protest the Hero's set overlapping with Story of the Year and From First to Last. And Alesana and Every Time I Die played at the same time. They're all in a similar genre, so I really wish they would have spaced that out better.
Four Year Strong and Anberlin were surprisingly good performances in my opinion. FYS threw down and the crowd was going nuts, and Anberlin sounded really good, and despite the lack of energy during the first song, everything kicked up really well.
Story of the Year was awesome and they did this crazy trick involving throwing guitars across stage and doing back-flips off the amps at the same time! lol. Every Time I Die destroyed everything. So good. The Devil Wears Prada tore things to shreds. Protest the Hero, We the Kings, From First to Last, and Mayday Parade were all pretty friggen good. There were more, but can't really remember them all.
Can't wait for next year! :-D
Warped Tour was awesome! However I was a little angry that Story Of The Year and Protest the Hero had overlapping set times... so i only got to watch twenty minutes of each band.
Set Your Goals is one of my personal favourites, they were really good live and definately knew how to please the crowd. Story of the Year as awesome as hell. since Protest the Hewro and SOTY overlapped it was hard to tear myself away from that set, but in the end I was happy watching only part of each set and would have hated myself if i had chosen one over the other.
One band that was really cool but very unknown was this band called All Left Out they were from NewZealand, and they walked around before the gates opened so you could give their music a listen. They polayed later in the day and were quite good i really enjoyed the set even though there was barely anyone else watching.
other bands that i really enjoyed includedAgainst me, Every Time I Die, The Flatliners, and Say Anything. Really good.
I had a great day, Warped Tour made my life! I will either go to Warped in Montreal or Toronto next year, i still have yet to decide...
