Political Commentary from pickRpres

Welcome to My Mind

Welcome to the commentary section here at pickRpres. During this immensely important election season, I'll give you a glimpse of my political leanings, and tell you what I really think, and try to convince at least a few of you along the way.

Well, first off, you're probably thinking, "if I am to respect this guy's opinion, I should probably know a little something about him." Ok, fair enough. Aside from being a full time politics junky, I currently work as an attorney in California. I recently graduated from UC Berkeley, School of Law, and I'm a graduate from UCSD in History, with a minor in Political Science.

I've volunteered for 3 major political campaigns, and maintain my own blog where I occasionally post political rants. My political leanings can't be summed up in one word or a catch phrase like "books, not bombs," though I guess you could categorize me as a social liberal and economic moderate.

Issues I will be commenting on will include the war in Iraq, immigration, climate change (yes it does exist and anyone who says otherwise is in an oil soaked dream world), education and taxes, among others.

Thank you all for signing up for pickRpres. For those of you 18 and over, please register to vote and get out there and actually vote. And don't forget, even if you're not yet 18, you can still make a difference by supporting your candidate and making your voice heard. While I was still in high school, I volunteered for a primary candidate, and joined a group to protest a decision of the local school board. Politics effects us all everyday, be a part of it, make a difference.
