Saosin wants to support the local scenes.

Saosin is looking for your the best bands in each city to open up their shows. You can win the opening slot (25 minute set) along with $100 from pickRset.com and Saosin and 1 guest per band member to the show.

It is really easy. Submit your band for what city you would like to play at along with a link to your bands website where we can listen to your music. Five bands will be chosen for each city on Friday October 24.2008 by the band. From there those lucky winners will be put into the finals for each city on Saosin's pickRset profile where the fans will choose which band will open the show by who has the most votes. Voting will end exactly 1 week prior to each show and the winning band will be notified with the shows details.

12/05/08 The Rock - Tucson, AZ

We want to compete to play the Dec 3 show in Corpus Christi. We only have two songs online, but others recorded and enough to easily fill that 25 minute slot. Our sound has been changing though from the songs online, although we still play those songs. We are starting to get both slower and heavier, with lyrics covering the philosophy of dating and love more than just relational lyrics, and we have some pretty pimpin riffs too. I think you would thoroughly enjoy us, and we would definitely enjoy you!

No they dont. They arent from tallahassee and they arent even the same genre as Saosin. How is a local band with no money supposed to compete with an out of town band thats been to Warped Tour and won battle of the bands? The whole point of this is to give the local bands a chance. Think about it.
