| Bio: | In 2005, inspired by the memory and courage of Bleed The Dream's departed drummer, Scott Gottlieb, and heeding Jack Mannequin's Andrew McMahon's call to fans to donate to pediatric cancer research and to donate blood upon learning he was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia, 19 Florida bands, playing the Florida Warped Tour, including pickRset artists A Day To Remember and Select Start joined LA's Bleed The Dream in contributing to the Bands Doing Battle benefit CD compilation. This month, Bands Doing Battle will donate $1 for each paid admission to Select Start's November 13th (Neptune's Lounge) and November 14th (Transitions Art Gallery at Skate Park of Tampa) concerts to the Sylvia Thomas Center to financially support the Carli Slack family as Carli battles leukemia and a life threatening Mucor fungus infection. Carli Nicole Slack has been hospitalized at St.Joseph's Children's Hospital in Tampa, Florida since July 19, 2008 Carli was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia on July 22, 2008. Carli received chemotherapy but has had two invasive surgeries and is currently battling life threatening Mucor fungus and infections.
