(5) I can't just say I had a great time because there's so much more to my very first Warped Tour experience, so here goes...
I saw Shwayze first. They're funny and everyone jammed with them during "Buzzin'" of course. Then I walked around a bit and somehow found Anarbor at the Hopeless/Sub City tent :D I got a hug and their new EP then rushed over to their set on the Kevin Says stage. So far so good!
I hung around the main stages a while and watched The Academy Is... - a great band; totally glad I saw them. Immediately after was Cobra Starship. Fun times, for sure. They even had confetti, as did Oreskaband later in the day. Oreskaband is also very entertaining and those girls can sang!
Well, the time finally came for Say Anything to play. I was excited, to say the least. I tried to get a good spot 20 minutes before their set, but there was already quite a big crowd. Eventually, I got an okay view and managed to hold my camera steady long enough for video and photos. They're amazing, nothing less.
They had a signing at their tent about 30-minutes later, which I definitely did not want to miss. This was for sure the best part of the day: hearing them sing "Kiss From A Rose" right in front of me as they signed my new "Belt" belt. haha I really wanted to get that on video too! I asked if they'd be hanging out by their bus afterwards and got a smart answer from Jake. haha seriously, it was a "you had to be there!" moment.
Anyways, back to the other bands...
All Time Low needs to be on the main stage! SO many people came to see them, including me, wayyy in the back. I was able to see Alex here and there. They do put on a great show.
I would have stayed for Rise Against, but they wouldn't be playing for another 3 hours or something, so I packed it up and went home. I wore earplugs the whole day, which worked out great, but the sunblock wore off. Not so good. Hopefully, I'll have a tan next week. haha. I got to see every band I really wanted to see and there was even a nice breeze throughout the day. All-in-all a great experience.
